Access to work

Access to work schem - supporting the neurodiverse - ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia and autism

What is Access to Work?
Access to Work is a government funded scheme that provides practical and financial support to individuals who are neurodivergent.

If you have ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia, or autism, you can apply to receive financial support that can cover the fees of having the support of a fully trained Action PA. You do not need to have been formally diagnosed to apply.

For further information about the Access to Work scheme, please visit the gov.uk website.
How Can Access to Work Help Me?

If you are neurodivergent, Access to Work can provide a grant to cover the fees of working with a virtual assistant. Virtual assistants can provide valuable support such as:

Help with organisational tasks, planning and time management
Assistance with communications such as email and phone calls
Administrative support like scheduling, document creation and data entry
Life admin such as arranging holidays, insurances and keeping on top of celebrations

You do not need a formal diagnosis to apply for Access to Work funding. The scheme is available as long as your condition affects your ability to work.

Read our blog for more information about how having a VA can help you.
